Despite Nebbercracker's intentions to protect their neighborhood, there is an underlying sadness and regret in his interactions with Constance. He remembers her as she once was, before her transformation, and likely mourns the loss of their former life. This mixture of love and sorrow is evident in how he interacts with her whenever he can temporarily calm her down. When consumed by rage, the house has two trees linked to its head that are its chimney emitting a red glow and smoke, indicating its heart is racing. Its overall appearance is more ferocious than its previous state, having several large boards protruding from its jaws.
Despite her death, he still cares for her, and is heartbroken when she goes on to the afterlife in the end. Following her death, Nebbercracker completed construction on the house, because he knew that's what she would've wanted. However, Constance's spirit took control of the house, causing it to come to life. To ensure their safety, Nebbercracker put "Beware" and "Keep Away" signs on his lawn, and acted mean towards children who came near his house and confiscated their possessions so they wouldn’t dare come near the house again. The following day, a girl named Jenny is out selling candy for homeowners to give to trick-or-treaters.
Just then, the house moves again and taunts Chowder by playing his basketball that is marked with Jack-O-Lantern's face, which Chowder perceives that the house would start the real killing spree tonight. Just then, Officer Landers and Officer Lister arrive, but they didn’t believe him at all and instead scold them for “vandalism” toward the house (due to any attempt to taunt the house was vain and Jenny discovers that the possessed house was very intelligent to do so). They later decided to have a discussion on Reginald “Skull” Skullinski at Pizza Freek, where he believes that the possessed house was a monster named Domus Mactabillis (Deadly Home in Latin) or at least that was he believed as he knew about from comic book conventions. He stated that like mortal beings, they can only be killed by the destruction of its heart. The fact they wrongly believed the ambulance not having sirens meant that he died. Terrors that they endured caused Chowder and DJ to argue with each other with Jenny breaking up their fight.

When the house falls asleep, the children fall into the basement and discover the body of a very large woman covered in cement. The house realizes that the children are inside it and starts to attack them. DJ, Chowder, and Jenny grab onto the house's uvula, forcing it to vomit them out.

The house would attack any kids that got near it, especially on the night of Halloween, which forced Horace to take precautions by putting warning signs on the lawn to prevent the house from attacking anyone near the house. To make sure Constance wouldn't hurt anyone, and to keep the children safe Horace began to put on a mean and hostile personality to any kids that came near the house to prevent them from entering the lawn by scaring them and making sure that both the kids and house are safe. Though still furious, Constance calmed down, and they had a brief conversation. Here, Constance expresses a degree of remorse over the carnage that she has done, and Nebbercracker said that he has done the best for her. But now, her suffering must be over as he reveal the dynamite to blow up the house that has changed her. Constance was shocked with this and started to get furious, but Nebbercracker argues, tried to blow the house up with the dynamite, and trying to tell Constance that it was the best for her.
Overhearing this, Constance becomes enraged, uses two trees to lift the house from its foundation, and chases her husband and the children. Nebbercracker tries to comfort Constance and explain everything is for the best, but when she realizes his intent to destroy her with some dynamite, she attacks him. Chowder combats Constance with an excavator from a nearby construction site, into which the trio then lure her.
He married her shortly afterwards, and began building a house for the two of them. Fortunately, the children interfered, and with this, he left the task of destruction to DJ. After DJ successfully destroyed the house, he spent his final moments with Constance's spirit who was now free from the house, and thanked him saying that "for forty-five years, we have been trapped for 45 years, and now we're free!". That Halloween night, instead of candy, he handed out the toys and other various items he had stolen to their previous owners including Eliza's tricycle as an apology to all the kids he pretended to hate. In her memory Horace managed to finish the house, thinking it's what Constance would have wanted, however, he soon discovered that, even though his wife had died she hadn't left, with her soul coming to possess their home.
Swings out on a crane's hook with the dynamite, dropping it into the house's chimney and vanquishing Constance. Finally freed, her spirit briefly reunites with Nebbercracker before ascending to the afterlife; he thanks the trio for freeing them from their suffering. In its final form, the house resembles a porcupine made of timber boards, with the shattered yet same windows and a triangular mouth with a longer flange chimney set in the center of its head. Its left tree arm is placed at the end of its tail and its right arm(still intact) is smaller and thinner. Upon reaching the crane, DJ uses it to swing over the house's chimney and throws the dynamite down to its heart.
